Arch Bishop Bernard Moras recently had the privilege to meet Pope Benedict XVI on November 14 and 17. During this meet Arch Bishop briefed the Pope about the Kristhostava-2007, which was recently held in the city. He was very pleased with the efforts put in by the church in Karnataka to make the message of Christ relevant both for Christians and non-Christians. The Pope was happy to know the pastoral and the spiritual developments taking place in the state, as well as the presence of a number of religious congregations and institutions in the region. Arch Bishop also called on Ivan Cardinal Dias, prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Evangelization of peoples who was also equally pleased to know about the functioning of the church in Karnataka and its latest developments. He also took note of the growth of the church in Karnataka in every field.
"Happy" with the functioning of the church in Karnataka? But the bleating by John Dayal and Saajan George implies that Karnataka tops in persecution of christists among all the states of India. The logical inference being that the intensity of "persecution" bleating by the christist persecution industry in any given time frame is a good measure of the quantum of evangelical activity on behalf of the imperialistic death cult in the corresponding area.
