Quick notes: Right-of-way, Killbots...

  • Muharram has right-of-way: Mamata Banerjee says no Durga idol immersion on Muharram

  • Ghar wapsi in quota case: Conversion good, ghar-wapsi bad according to All India Catholic Union and John Dayal.

  • Overdue: OBC list to be sub-categorised

  • Chinese threat: India tightens power grid, telecom rules. Local firms have long argued against Chinese involvement in the power sector, raising security concerns and saying they get no reciprocal access to Chinese markets.

  • China role in floods? "There was no unnatural rain in neighboring Arunachal Pradesh to trigger such a massive flooding in Assam. We need to know where the water came from. There was also no warning from China. Unnatural release of river water could be a ticking hydrogen bomb".

  • Killbots: Elon Musk urges the UN to limit AI weapons

  • HCCI Explained:

  • Lesson for Modi Sarkar: Economists still can’t decide whether the minimum wage is a good thing. A recent study found that a sharp rise in the minimum wage in Seattle led to job losses and fewer hours for low-wage workers—exactly what supply and demand theory would predict

  • Targeting India, specifically women:

Quick notes: Secular detonators, Sanskrit daily...

  • Saved by Secularism: Daniel was involved in supplying explosives on three occasions: for planting a bomb below a bridge near Vellore in 2011 to target BJP leader L K Advani, the 2012 Tirunelveli blast and for the Malleswaram blast.

  • High Time: Rajnath promises to bring back ‘quota within quota’ if BJP wins UP.

As someone said, the Jat agitation stems from resentment about Yadavs pocketing all the benefits of reservation. Ensuring that no single caste can get more than a third of the available reservations will bring a measure of fairness to the system.

  • India's only Sanskrit daily fights for survival: Sudharma was launched by Kalale Nadadur Varadaraja Iyengar, a Sanskrit scholar, in 1970 with the goal of propagating the language.

  • Paddy fields vanish in Kerala’s rice bowl: Real estate lobbies buy paddy fields from farmers at cheap rates and convert them to housing plots.

  • Worth fighting for:

  • Ayigiri Nandini :

  • India is building a $60 million supercomputer that will help predict monsoons: The dynamic, 3D modeling technique is far more high-tech than the statistical method, which sees Indian meteorologists collect data on things like sea-surface temperatures, wind direction, and wind speed before comparing this information to historical records of rainfall. The new supercomputer will work ten times faster than the one used in recent years.

Quick notes: AIIMS quota order, amphibious bicycle...

  • The Supreme Court verdict against reservation in specialty and super-specialty courses in engineering and medical colleges, including AIIMS, is generating political heat from expected quarters. This proposition is now binding on courts of lower, coordinate and later jurisdiction.

  • Google Science Fair (GSF) 2013 has announced the 15 global finalists. Out of them, seven are of Indian origin.

  • The Integral Coach Factory has joined hands with IIT Madras to design solar-powered coaches that will draw power from the sun for interior lighting and cooling.

  • It took Mohammad Saidullah three days and just over $130 dollars to create his amphibious bicycle which he named after his wife Noor. Professor Anil Gupta has been traversing India in search of inventions that are changing the lives of the country’s rural poor.

Communal Aspects of Sub-Prime Meltdown

Ben Stein, in his blunt and plainspoken way, points out that ethnic reservation quota politics may have sewn the seeds of today's sub-prime disaster currently enveloping the world economy. Read Ben Stein's article.

Christian terrorists lobbying hard for government quotas

Encouraged by the dhimmi UPA regime's largesse for the families of Jihadi terrorists in Kashmir and the perversion of the nation's political parlance by the dhimmi agenda of surrender, christian terrrorists are getting increasingly
emboldened in their atrocious demands. They're lobbying hard currently to extend the SC quota to "Dalit" converts to the vampire cult. The argument offered being that since ST converts are eligible for quotas, SC converts should be granted the same.

Actually, the answer to this anomalous situation is to revoke quota benefits from All converts, whether SC or ST or whatever. Once someone makes the mistake of converting to one of the binary cults, that person cannot claim caste based reservation benefits. The nation cannot be expected to subsidise its own
annihilation! Now it is true that within the ROP, for instance, the Shias and Ahmadiyas are discriminated against. But, GOI should not bear the burden of Islamic oppression of fellow Mohammedans. Similarly, if the Vatican claims that Mormons are lesser christists, that is for christists to sort out. Any Mormon or Seventh Day Adventist like Samuel Reddy in Andhra Pradesh should not expect India to bail them out because Ratzy treats them with contempt, despite their conversion.

Since, christism claims to be such an "egalitarian" religion, why are the SC's and ST's facing any oppression even after converting? The reason is that christists are the greatest oppressors of the Dalits and Vanvasis. They refuse to comply with constitutionally mandated reservations in their own institutions, convert destitute people under duress and then demand reservations for christists from the government. This is christian activist terrorism in its most naked and ugly form.

"Minorities" refuse to comply with SC/ST reservations

Leaders of the minority community have reacted strongly to the BJP manifesto, which advocates reservation for ST/SC students in minority-run educational institutions.
..................
Former journalist and president of All India Catholic Union John Dayal asked BJP to stop “devious methods of pitting one community against the other”. Dayal, a member of the National Integration Council, says BJP’s manifesto is a “sure roadmap to national disaster”.
.... deleted

The usual suspects indulging in their usual anti-national activities. These worthies demand cradle to grave reservations for Mohammedans and Christists in India, yet refuse to implement constitutionally mandated SC/ST quotas in the institutions administered by them. I say "administered" deliberately because ownership vests with the nation whose taxpayers are burdened with secular subsidies that is the source of much of their funding.

Notwithstanding the larger question of efficacy of reservation quotas, christist institutions have an obligation to comply with the law of the land. If they fail to meet those requirements, a future GOI has every right to nationalise them, the same way it nationalised all the banks in the late 1960's.

The reason behind John Dayal's resistance is not hard to comprehend. SC/ST's actually face the worst exploitation and discrimination by the christist missionary hyenas who deploy "oppression" mythology for propaganda purposes while exacerbating any real disadvantages faced by them. Even purely in terms of quotas, this is a double whammy for the SC/ST's - christists eating away their entitlements when the constipated judge Ranganath Misra's report is implemented and doors being shut on them in publicly funded, christist administered institutions. It is high time the SC/ST's stood up against their real oppressors, namely the missionary swines.

Muslim Militants loot Christian Farmer's Rice Crops in Pakistan

Rather ironic, isn't it? It would interesting to monitor John Dayal's position on this. I'll make a logical extrapolation, the Indian padre position will be silence because bleating about Christian persecution in Pakistan or Bangladesh would raise rather inconvenient questions detrimental to the larger cause (for them, that is), namely growing Abrahamic synergy in India. It is rather sad because these Rice christians in Pakistan are almost to the last man, children of Hindu Dalits who lacked the resources to combat Islamic tyranny or displace themselves to India at the time of partition. Since they would be guaranteed massacre and rapine as Hindus in jihadi Pakistan, they converted to the ROL which they saw as the lesser evil relative to the ROP, only to be mistreated again and to see the travesty of John Dayal negating their misery. In retrospect, it would appear that they made a poor choice of converting to the ROL. They may have been better off remaining Hindu and escaping to India with SC status and reservations.

Dalit leader: Say No to reservations for converts

Extending "Schedule Caste" status and therefore the quota benefits derived from it to those who have converted to imperialistic death cults due to force, fraud and allurement is a recipe for total decimation of the native civilisation at the hands of those intolerant creeds. It is actually the Dalits and Vanvasis who have borne the brunt of invasions and forced conversions. Naturally, it is the Dalits remaining within the Hindu fold who stand to lose the most under any such retrograde decision by the UPA dhimmis. See how this christist propaganda site distorts this fact. In particular, note the sly insistence that christists comprise only 2.5% of India's population!!! i.e. about 25 million. In reality, just Kerala and Tamil Nadu combined would have more than that. Instead of burdening the
state with yet more quotas, widespread abuse of the existing quota system by stealth christists is something which needs to be investigated and penalised.

Quota Quagmire

Good article written by Rajinder Puri on the folly of caste-based reservations. From his article, here is what the Supreme Court said recently,

"It has to be noted that nowhere else in the world do castes, classes or communities queue up for the sake of gaining backward status. Nowhere else in the world is there competition to assert backwardness and then to claim we are more backward than you."

Media spin on downward mobility

Frontline finds another chance to fault the BJP government in Rajasthan.
Note the blatant deceit (oops, sorry, reportage)
RAJASTHAN burned for four days following the Bharatiya Janata Party government's brutal suppression of an agitation by the Gujjar community for inclusion in the Scheduled Tribe category. The police action against the agitators claimed the lives of 26 persons and left several injured.
Brutal suppression? Was it not the Gujjars who murdered -- nay hacked to death -- a bunch of policemen? And what, in Frontline's vaunted opinion, is the Police supposed to do? Twiddle their thumbs?
Or maybe do a Tianamen-style pogrom -- but that is forgivable only if the murdering government is Communist.

The Hindustan Times, on the other hand, is calling this a political masterstroke on Raje's part.

Whatever the media claims, the loser in this is obvious: Hindu samaj and India.

AVERAGE MUSLIM HOUSEHOLD SPEND MORE THAN A HINDU ONE

apr 4, 2007

so there goes that particular chestnut.

can we now expect all 'minority' provisions to be rolled back? after all, sikhs and christists have lots more money than hindus, and mohammedans have a little more money.

so who's the oppressed minority?

why, hindus, of course. as i have been saying all along.

let us repeal article 30 of the constitution, because its basic assumption has been that poor downtrodden minorities are worse off than hindus.

Reservations for moslems?

There is one thing that seems very contradictory, very out-of-place, regarding reservations.

The logic for reservations for SC/ST/OBC (whether good or bad/right or wrong is another discussion altogether) is that they were oppressed.

But then, why reservations for moslems? They were the ones who oppressed Hindus, regardless of caste or class, committed the largest genocide in the history of mankind. The biggest lie is that muslims were / are oppressed.

Reservations for the oppressed, and for the oppressor too. What difference?

Sandhya on Semitic OBC's

http://www.organiser.org/dynamic/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=178&page=7
Sandhya Jain gets it right again on the 'grievance' of caste discrimination after a person has converted to either of the Prophetic Monotheistic death cults (our use of the word Semitic is unfortunate - Judaism has evolved since Moses). These 'Semites' (and their Indian-derivative cousins the 'Periyarites') are utterly shameless. These people deserve no reservations of any sort. They are the politically and economically most powerful segments who are sticking it to everyone else and destroying Hindu unity.

Sandhya has another article in the Pioneer today about going back to Ram Raj - sorry but that sounded like a non-violent, sugary Hindu version of Pakistan - a state founded on sweet emotion rather than one on well though out institutions.

latest on the quota battles

apr 1, 2007

this is of course old news by now.

all sides have declared victory in this fratricidal struggle. i am conflicted, because i do believe that some OBCs have definitely gained by the levels of reservations that exist today, and things could well be maintained at that level, not increased, and slowly decreased over time. i have argued before that govt jobs and govt educational institutions are no longer as coveted as they used to be, once the economy has opened up a little.

the only winners are the anti-hindus, as the quotas are causing hindu fragmentation.

also, the 27% quota for OBCs will be soon converted to a quota for mohammedans, as all mohammedans will be declared OBCs. thus, since mohammedans are 14% of the population, it means that virtually any mohammedan can get into any job or any educational institution so long as it is in the public domain.

of course, mohammedan educational institutions do not have to provide 27% OBC quotas. nor do christist educational institutions. the role of semitic institutions is simply to plunder.

Arun Shourie - the other voice on reservations

http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-4741810258336684534&q=shourie
http://www.sas.upenn.edu/casi/events/16Oct2006_Shourie.htm

Some may have noted the rather long exchange I had with Tambi Dude on quota-based affirmative action on this forum.

I must note that the owner of this platform, Nizhal Yodha has endorsed an NFL-type reservation scheme. I am not sure how it will be applied - I suspect neither is he :-) ; let me say however that I, Ghost Writer, am opposed to the policy being adopted and the fantastically twisted rationalisations used to justify it.

The links to the above two talks will hopefully help, as always with Shourie the research is exhaustive and reasoning is razor-sharp

An interesting point is that a lot of folks who like quota based AA are opposed to the present scheme ; they think 'quotas are good but caste-politics is bad'; Shourie, with considerable skill inverts that paradigm. He shows that caste-politics is what has actually led to quota demands in the first place.

As with everything in life - acute caste-consciousness has not been all bad as it has meant that the so-called backward castes have in asserting their caste-identity, doubly asserted their Hinduness.

Long term - I think that caste-based political mobilization is a movement that will eventually come to a head. It is, like the radicalisation of Shiv Sena in the 70's or the Sikh-separatism of the 1980's - this also is one of India's 'million mutinies'. The only question is the amount of damage that this will inflict on Hindu society in further perverting the institution of caste.
