UPA's fake protests over Headley sentencing

The U.S administration can also
take a leaf out of Sheila Dixit's book, citing "possible law and order problems" as a result of a Headley execution in "sensitive areas" in the greater Chicago area, which does have a huge "peaceful" immigrant population, especially Pakistanis.

After all, David Coleman Headley aka Dawood Gilani was a double agent for the CIA and the ISI, therefore by extension the LeT.

Secondly, Dhimmi GOI has hardly covered itself with glory when it comes to punishing perpetrators of terrorism on Indian soil. GOI needs to first implement the Supreme Court's order to execute Mohd. Afzal Guru - before daring to demand the extradition of Headley et al.

Foreign minister, Salman Khurshid in his previous avatar (sic) as the Congress chief leading the election campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly had promised that "rivers of blood will flow if reservations for Muslims are not implemented."

His phoney demand for "harsher" punishment to Headley/Gilani is laughable.
The usually poker faced incoming Secretary of State, John Kerry will have a hard time
controlling his laughter, the next time he meets India's Foreign minister.




Thirdly, the Indian Home minister, Suhail Qamar Al Hinde
has declared just a couple of days ago that there are only "Hindu terrorists" in India - directly inciting the Pakistani Taliban to issue ominous threats
of strikes on Indian soil against
"state sponsored Hindu terrorists" and implicitly negating
Indian requests, howsoever meek, for action against terrorist networks acting from foreign soil.

Typical Stalinist strategy to decimate political opposition: kill
anyone who raises their voice against the government's tyranny and label them "Hindu terrorists". No questions will be asked. No answers will be required.

As if on cue, the Pakistani Taliban, with great alacrity have threatened to attack the alleged "BJP & RSS terrorist camps" in India!!!

The Home minister's propaganda is now directly threatening national security. He should be held personally culpable for any Jihadi attacks on Indian soil, from this poin onwards. The head honchos of the UPA regime are liable of wilful endangerment of the security of Indian citizens by tolerating, indeed actively encouraging this vile propaganda on behalf of the Lashkar E Taiba emanating from the precincts of the Indian Home ministry!!!!

This would be equivalent to U.S Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton denouncing the Republicans as "Christian terrorists" and inviting Al Qaeda to strike at them on U.S. soil!!!

Except, such an outrageous statement would not have been issued in any other self respecting nation - including by confused American "liberals". It is inconceivable, except in Nehruvian Stalinist India!!

Peshawar, Jan 24: The Pakistani Taliban will carry attacks in Kashmir if the UN bodies and the US fail to stop the “BJP-sponsored state terrorism” against Muslims in the region, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said Thursday.
“Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's statement regarding BJP-backed terrors camps is an open confession that Hindu extremists are being patronized under the state's authority for killing innocent Kashmiri Muslims,” The Dawn reported.
Ehsan said the US and the UN should also order drone strikes and coalition troops invasion to target these terror camps.
He said that if the US and the UN does not take action against BJP and RSS terrorism against Muslims in India, then TTP would "take care" of it.

SRINAGAR: Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde said Saturday it was his childhood desire to pray at the Hazratbal shrine, but it came about so that his wish was fulfilled only after taking over as the country's home minister.

Talking to reporters outside the Hazratbal shrine where he went with Kashmir's Minister of Home Nasir Aslam Wani and union Home Secretary R.K. Singh, Shinde said: "As a child it was my desire to come and pray at the Hazratbal shrine. I have been coming to Kashmir since 1980, but God so ordained that I should visit the shrine only after taking over the country's home minister."

Chinese-ISI Nexus In Northeast

What we have is a deadly mix of Chinese motivation and ISI hostility that is supporting insurgent groups. Senior politicians in these states are also linked to insurgent groups. Another issue of concern is the porous Indo- Bangladesh border that has been a safe passage for terrorists wanting to enter North- East. A recent intelligence input about the possibility of a group of terrorists entering Assam from Bangladesh to exploit the volatile situation after the riots in the state is a case in point.

Pak Govt in Cahoots with Bin Laden

As revealed by WikiLeaks and reported by the Telegraph, Stratfor received evidence that Pakistani govt officials were in routine contact with Bin Laden:

According to one of the e-mails, the firm was shown the information papers collected from bin Laden's Abbotabad compound after the US special forces attack last May that resulted in his death. The e-mail, from a Stratfor analyst, suggested that up to 12 officials in Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency knew of the al-Qaeda leader's safe house. The internal email did not name the Pakistani officials involved but said the US could use the information as a bargaining chip in post raid negotiations with Islamabad.

The song, entitled "Potatoes and Eggs" starts off with the motif of some schoolboys disgusted with getting the same thing everyday for lunch. But the song soon shows its true intent - to take aim at the stale political myths routinely propagated by the mainstream media in Pakistan, in service of the Pakistani establishment.

It goes a long way towards explaining why these people need to pursue and sustain conflict in the region, to preserve their power and their special privileges. Less conflict means less power for the military, and loss of all-important privileges.

Pak Re-energizing Terror Camps

Faced with a rising confrontation with the US over Afghan policy, Pakistan is now re-activating terror camps near the Line of Control, to renew its campaign to send militants into J&K and set it on fire again.



What will India do? Probably the usual - send the army back in, allow the place to burn, and resume wagging a finger at Pakistan, even while haplessly continuing "peace talks".

If it's J&K alone that's set on fire, then Congress will probably successfully contain the fallout. But if there are further Mumbai-style attacks, then Congress will not be able to keep exhorting the public to show more "spirit". The question is - will Pakistan dare to go that far?

India should make clear to the US in advance, that there will be armed conflict with Pakistan if it crosses the line - and it would certainly want to, given the rewards it would reap from using border conflict as an excuse to bow out from anti-terror operations. In such an eventuality, it would be more prudent for India and the US to team up and do a tag-team on Pakistan. If Pak diverts troops to the Indian border, then the US should use the opportunity to conduct cross-border attacks into Pak, either directly or through proxies.

Raymond Davis Arrested for Parking Lot Fight

Raymond Davis, the CIA contractor whose arrest in Pakistan over the shooting of 2 ISI agents sparked a major diplomatic incident between both countries, and ultimately forced the US to pay blood money for his release, has again been arrested for another altercation in the US.

Apparently, Davis has been arrested for assault after getting into a fight with another motorist over a parking spot at a local shopping mall. When it comes to parking at the mall - don't mess with the CIA! (Gee, I'd hate to think what happens to you if you nab an ISI parking spot in Rawalpindi.)

Taliban Assassinate Rabbani After Gaining His Trust

Former Afghan President and Jamiat-i-Islami leader Burhanuddin Rabbani has been assassinated. I'm reminded of that moment 10 years ago when news came forth that his close associate Ahmad Shah Masood had been assassinated by Taliban ally AlQaeda. This was of course the day before the 9/11 attacks.

Here too, the Taliban say that an elaborate ruse had been created to gain Rabbani's trust by leading him into a pretense of negotiations. This enabled a pair of suicide bombers to gain close access to Rabbani, before detonating their hidden explosives.

This is a severe blow which shows that Taliban/ISI can never be trusted, especially when they claim to want to negotiate.

Pak Begs to Differ, Begs for $upport

On the 10th anniversary of 9-11, Pakistan's govt tried to take out an ad in the NYT, but settled on the WSJ. Never ones to question the bounds of taste, they'd apparently never heard about the idea of fools rushing in where wiser men fear to tread.

The Death of Saleem Shahzad

The New Yorker has an interesting article on events leading upto the murder of Pakistani journalist Saleem Shahzad. Here's an interesting excerpt:

The trouble, he said, had begun on March 25th, the day that he published the story about bin Laden’s being on the move. The next morning, he got a phone call from an officer at the I.S.I., summoning him to the agency’s headquarters, in Aabpara, a neighborhood in eastern Islamabad. When Shahzad showed up, he was met by three I.S.I. officers. The lead man, he said, was a naval officer, Rear Admiral Adnan Nazir, who serves as the head of the I.S.I.’s media division.

“They were very polite,” Shahzad told me. He glanced over his shoulder. “They don’t shout, they don’t threaten you. This is the way they operate. But they were very angry with me.” The I.S.I. officers asked him to write a second story, retracting the first. He refused.

And then Admiral Nazir made a remark so bizarre that Shahzad said he had thought about it every day since.

“We want the world to believe that Osama is dead,” Nazir said.

Bin Laden was still alive, his whereabouts presumably unknown, when that conversation occurred. I pressed Shahzad. What did they mean by that?

He shrugged and glanced over his shoulder again. They were obviously trying to protect bin Laden, he said.

“Do you think the I.S.I. was hiding bin Laden?” I asked him.

Shahzad shrugged again and said yes. But he hadn’t been able to prove it. (The I.S.I. calls this claim an “unsubstantiated accusation of a very serious nature.”)

Perhaps the US should abduct Pakistan's Rear Admiral Nazir, and give him a thorough interrogation on the issue of how much Pakistan knew about Bin Laden's whereabouts.

ISI Intimidates, Spreads Fears Among Overseas Pakistanis in US

The ISI is said to intimidate and issue threats to overseas Pakistanis living in the US, in order to impose its will on them.

Activist Ghulam Nabi Fai Arrested, Charged as ISI Agent

The FBI has arrested pro-Pak activist Ghulam Nabi Fai, charging him with working for the ISI in attempting to influence US policy on Kashmir. Pakistan, whih has been receiving billions in US aid over the years, had been clandestinely paying Fai millions over the years and decades, to promote Pakistan's agenda on Kashmir.

Now that Pakistan is pressuring the US to withdraw its personnel from Pak soil and shut down its covert activities, the US is sending a similar signal to Pak that it will have to do the same.

It's That Time Again... Time to Get Bombed

Yes, it's that time again, folks - it's time to imbibe that 'Mumbai Spirit' once more (ie. suffer another terror bombing.) You see, the more time that goes by, the more the ruling govt in New Delhi and its partners in Islamabad get very itchy to have another one. In the previous Mumbai attacks, it took the ruling govt practically no time at all to blame it on 'Hindutva fanatics', with Rajdeep Sardesai and Barking Mutt rushing to claim that Hemant Karkare was a 'sekoolar' hero gunned down by 'saffron militants' for investigating them over the Samjauta train blasts.

A Washington Post blog says that these blasts are in fact occurring on Kasab's birthday.

Meanwhile, Stratfor's Reva Bhalla claims it had to be the handiwork of local 'homegrown' jihadis, because Pakistan's Lashkar-e-Taiba is allegedly 'defunct'. How does she figure that LeT is defunct? Well, because the current bad state of US relations with Pakistan would suffer complications if Pakistan were to be faulted for these blasts. Concerns guiding a conclusion - sounds like backward analysis to me.

The Whitehouse has intelligence which shows that the ISI ordered the torture and murder of journalist Saleem Shahzad.

Pak Journo Reported on AlQaeda-Military Links, Now Dead

A Pakistani journalist who had recently reported on the close ties between AlQaeda and his country's military has now been found dead, with his body bearing torture marks.

Apparently, ISI doesn't want certain secrets to get out.
