P.M Modi - Sir, Please do not turn a book into an idol

I disagree with blind faith, obsequiousness to any individual, organization or even the constitution.

P.M Modi may have his reasons for his symbolic gesture of bowing before the book in Parliament. Governments certainly need to adhere to a constitutional framework.

However, the Indian constitution is not an
“immutable” book ... containing “divine revelations” ... like the Abrahamic “scriptures” claim to. It is not beyond critical examination.

To a large extent, it is a copy/paste job that includes many serious flaws - both in the original document and accumulated/forcibly inserted over time by Nehruvian Stalinists - that merit constitutional reform, not blind devotion.

A leader riding to power on the back of a
civilizational victory should not turn a
book into an idol.

Intolerance in BJP ruled Gujarat!

Intolerance!!!
Intolerance!!!
Intolerance!!!

The clowns in the BJP state government of Gujarat responsible
for this stupidity deserve severe censure and condemnation!

Is there freedom of speech in India?

What an atrocious absurdity!!!!

In a country where not a single individual was even prosecuted - leave alone punished - for the rape and genocide of 5 million Hindus during the partition of India in 1947 - How dare they arrest people for merely celebrating a birthday by lighting Diyas, singing Bhajans and exchanging Mithai?

This is a country where the "birth days" of genocidal tyrants and progenitors of hateful, totalitarian, genocidal foreign binary death cults masquerading as "ideologies" are celebrated as national holidays!!!

If Ghandy's birthday can be forcibly celebrated using state power, why can't individual citizens voluntarily and spontaneously celebrate Shri. Godse's Jayanti?

I had unfortunately and regretfully forgotten Shri. Nathuram Godse's birth anniversary.. just now celebrated his bravery and sacrifice with Mithai - Laddu, Peda and Gulab Jamun.

Belated birthday greetings Veer Hutatma Chiranjeevi
Shri. Nathuram Godse, the real Mahatma.

"During the celebration of Godse's birth anniversary, these Hindu Mahasabha members lit up diyas around Godse's photo, exchanged sweets and sang bhajans in the temple premise. They even made videos and took photographs of the event."

Quick notes: Pig culling | College admissions...

  • China is killing a third of its pigs: Farmers were feeding kitchen waste to their pigs—a practice that essentially renders the animals cannibals, eating remnants of other pigs. This is reminiscent of the 1988 mad cow epidemic in the UK, which was caused by feeding sheep and cow bone meal to cows, spreading bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

  • Church to Have Say in St Stephen's Admissions: It is for the first time that a non-academic person from outside the faculty of the college been made a member of the admissions procedure of the undergraduates.

  • A Film About the Impending 5G Apocalypse: 5G relies primarily on the bandwidth of the millimeter wave, known to cause a painful burning sensation. It’s also been linked to eye and heart problems, suppressed immune function, genetic damage and fertility problems. EMF exposure has increased about 1 quintillion times over the past 100 years.

  • Chinese dragon swallowing India’s new economy: This could set the alarm bells ringing elsewhere

  • Chengdu J-20 “Mighty Dragon”: India Claims It Can Track China's New J-20 Stealth Fighter

  • Dilli liberals

  • Pea is everybody’s new favorite plant-based protein: The shift toward a new plant protein—especially one that hasn’t been genetically engineered to withstand a barrage of herbicides—is still a win for the environment

  • Water-powered engine: Coimbatore inventor claims his distilled-water-powered engine can run cars. "Utilising the thermal losses in the engine, hydrogen could be burned that helps vehicle run. I have currently designed the engine with the capacity of 100cc, which could emit oxygen while it's running".

Quick notes: Spy chips | Phage therapy...

  • Super Micro To Move Server Production Out of China: Chinese agents had implanted surveillance chips via a Guangzhou manufacturing facility, and Super Micro had sent the affected servers to customers like Amazon and Apple, which later detected the spy chips.

  • Phage therapy: Teenager rescued from the brink of death through phage therapy. Phages are viruses that solely attack and kill bacteria, a potential treatment for antibiotic-resistant superbugs. . . . Bacteriophages and the mystery of the Ganges

  • 5G and mmWave: Unlike 4G LTE, mmWave is easily blocked by walls, glass, some metal screens on windows, tree leaves, rain, and other obstructions including the human body. This makes mmWave able to be used for fixed-point communications between buildings, or wirelessly from a telephone pole to a 5G modem on the outside of your house, but less useful for a smartphone used indoors.

  • Ravi Shankar at Monterey Pop (June 1967):

  • Stricter emission norms: End of the road for diesel cars nears as emission norms get stricter

  • India's alcohol intake up by 38% in seven years: "Before 1990, most alcohol was consumed in high-income countries, with the highest use levels recorded in Europe. However, this pattern has changed substantially, with large reductions across Eastern Europe and vast increases in several middle-income countries such as China, India, and Vietnam".

  • The problem with not eating carbs: Restricting your carb intake too drastically can lead to: decreased thyroid output, increased cortisol output, decreased testosterone, impaired mood and cognitive function, muscle catabolism, suppressed immune function.

  • Explainer: What would it take for U.S. regulators to break up Facebook?

Quick notes: Smoking gun | Uighur camps...

  • Huawei Smoking Gun: Vodafone found hidden backdoors in Huawei equipment. . . . . . The African Union installed Huawei servers in its headquarters, in Addis Ababa, only to discover that those servers had been sending sensitive data back to China every evening. . . . . . . 5G trumps weather in spectrum debate

  • Uighur 'concentration camps': China has made criminal many aspects of religious practice and culture in Xinjiang, including punishment for teaching Muslim texts to children and bans on parents giving their children Uighur names, U.S. officials have said.

  • Break up Facebook:

  • MNCs decimate local businesses: The aggressive push by Silicon Valley companies and Chinese firms to win India, one of the last great growth markets, has decimated many local businesses in recent years. With each passing day, Amazon is closing in on Walmart-owned Flipkart’s lead on the e-commerce space. Uber is fighting with Ola for the tentpole position of the ride-hailing market, and Google and Facebook dominate the ads business, to name a few. But a handful of companies in India have not only survived the growing competition, they have built businesses that are positively thriving.
