A new home solar setup touts a faster, more convenient installation, and a better aesthetic.
I think solar energy will be of tremendous importance to India, particularly for the rural, small business and residential markets.
Plus I have this hope that one day that the beautiful house with the white picket fence will be erectable anywhere on the planet, no matter how far removed from established settled areas. And this house will be perfectly self-sufficient, self-sustaining and livable, with minimal or no need for support from any utilities grid.
With India's low labour cost and limited availability in conventional power supplies, I would think that solar is a natural fit for India.
