one family that doesn't have a whole lot to be thankful for, that is the family of the poor driver maniappan kutty, who was decapitated by the taliban. they are from alappuzha district.
as always, it's the hindu's job to be killed by mohammedans.
and as i have mentioned before, it is only the hindus in kerala who are forced to take the dangerous jobs as in the army, because all the wealth, the land, the educational institutions, the hospitals, the entire economy in kerala has been captured by the christists and to a lesser extent the mohammedans.
if it had been a 'minority' or 'secular' [sic] person, yes, oommen chandy and k m mani (that's maaani, not mani, a total christist fundamentalist) would have been jumping up and down.

If his name was Mohammed Kutty or Mani Joseph, Center and State Govt. would have definitely intervened.
Any doubts??

Did lack of intervention cost Maniappan's life?
Thursday November 24 2005 00:00 IST
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The gruesome murder of Ramankutty Maniappan by the Taliban has brought into sharp focus the intervention or lack of it by both the State government and the MPs from the state.
Harippad MLA T K Devakumar said that the State Government should have sent a high-level delegation to Delhi and forced the Centre to rush a mission to Kabul.
"There was no mechanism to get in touch with the Taliban before the deadline. If a mission had been sent there, we could have at least bought precious time,'' Devakumar said.
"During the Kandahar plane hijack, we had sent a high-level delegation to the spot,'' he reminded.
"There was a friendly government at the centre and the state could have done more,'' Devakumar said.
According to Chief Secretary C Ramachandran, the rescue efforts were the responsibility of the External Affairs and Defence Ministries.
Moreover, the Border Roads Organisation where Maniappan worked was a central government undertaking.
By setting up a core group and holding continuous talks with the Afghan government, including its President, the Centre was doing all it could.
"If we had tried to send a delegation to Delhi, it would have reflected a mistrust of the Centre's efforts,'' Ramachandran said.
Devakumar said that the Union External Minister of State E Ahmed who was supposed to coordinate the rescue efforts was busy playing host to a foreign delegation on Tuesday night.
"Even the Chief Minster told me that he had repeatedly told the core group to send a mission to Kabul".
"But there was no response from the centre,'' he added. A senior Congress leader alleged that not a single MP from the state went to Delhi to take stock of the situation.
"The Parliament session had begun and they could have very well coordinated the efforts,'' he said.

My heart goes out for the family of Maniappan Kutty.
Here is what we need to do. Besides beefing up our conventional & nuclear forces, India MUST model RAW after the Mossad. If the Israelis can do it, why cant we. The perpetrators of this heinous crime must be swiftly dispatched with.
Ugh, I wish Rajeev Srinivasan spared the poor man and his grieving family. Rather, he, like the politicians tries to gain maximum mileage out of this. Poor poor man, at least, hope his wife and kid get a good share of the million Rs given in compensation (after the rest of the fmly and the local "leadders" get their share, of course).
As for the blogger's reaction : this is coming from a person, who lives in the US, enjoys every one of the liberties that that country gives and in return keeps criticizing its policies. I should have guessed. BTW, did you give any financial aid to this "Hindu" or just keep bickering about Sonia Gandhi, Christians and Muslims? Oh, I forgot the leftists in India, the Chinese, the Americans,, the Eurpeans.... I wonder if this guy likes anyone but himself...
Looks like Rajeev is so jealous of all the progress that Xians have made in Kerala. I guess if all the leading educational and medical institutions are owned by Christians, it means these are of good quality.
I wonder why such a self proclaimed patriot and Hindu nationalist (a true Hindustani?) lives elsewhere and then criticises everything that happens in India. I guess it is easier looking down upon the Indians, when you sit in your swanky a/ced room in San Francisco.
What is wrong with these anonymice? They are the ones who deserve to be decapitated.
How callous to talk of money as compensation for the bereaved! No wonder even our oppressors....yes the flim flamming 'rulers', have always convinced themselves that bereaved relatives of our Army would be more than pleased, embracing the 'chakras'
or 'money' offered as compensation(SIC).
"Looks like Rajeev is so jealous of all the progress that Xians have made in Kerala. I guess if all the leading educational and medical institutions are owned by Christians, it means these are of good quality."
The ignorant doesnt deserve a reply. Can you name any 'quality' (in rape?) institution,in any sector? Even a newcomers like Amrita institutions are having more placements than the chapel running 'charity masters'.
No one is jeoulous of people who are good only at loot, plunder, cheating, fabrications, manipulations, spirit/sandalwood mafias. Try to do things in the right way so that society and nation as a whole improves not the Church or madrasa alone.
As for Rajiv's comments on Maniappan, I agree, if he was a Chritist or a Mohemmedan, governments would have treated differently. No doubt. Just look at the way the govt is trying to help the Christist rapist and a principal in Kerala (BTW no Nirmala or other frock-wearing nuns to do fake charity here. also sadly no minority media reported the help for the victim from Hindu organizations! apartheid?)
It's also clear that Oomen Chandy (a christist fanatic) with help of a Syrian christist Chief secy had bigger plans to 'convert' Sabarimala pilgrimage with global jihadis like KP Yohannan. And Oomen had cleverly closed the Sister Abhaya case (murder by a catholic priest) with help of CBI. some are above the law!! Cops like ADGP Siby Mathew are known for aparthied against Hindus and encourages Coversions and provides special treatmets to Christists!
Here, we have a poor Indian who died in a foreign land and of course, we have some so called genuine Hindus who use it to fume about Nirmala, ADGP Siby Mathew, the Pope etc. I really cannot understand the relation between the two. Oh wait, there is no relation.
"I really cannot understand the relation between the two."
well you are exposing the low-intelligent ancestral lineage which fell for soap-powder and free-rice from missionaries!
Here is a newsitem from Pioneer which clearly shows the aparthied against hindus :
Govt could have saved him, says family
Pioneer News Service/ Alappuzha
All all-religion prayer meeting was held at the house of Maniappan in Chingoli on Thursday. His body is scheduled to be brought home on Friday. Maniappan, working as a driver in the Border Roads Organisation, was abducted and beheaded by the Taliban militia in Afghanistan.
People in large numbers from far and near are visiting the house and trying to console his parents Ramankutty and Maniamma, widow Bindu and sons Ajay and Akshay. Among the visitors on Thursday were several political leaders, including CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and Devaswom Minister KC Venugopal.
Not only the village of Chingoli but also the entire district of Alappuzha is grief-stricken. Many people are also angry that the Central and State Governments failed to save Maniappan's life.
Anandan and Krishnankutty, Maniappan's uncles and ex-servicemen, blame the State and Central Governments for having failed to save their nephew's life. They wonder why the State Government did not send a minister to New Delhi to strive to secure Maniappan's release.
The family's neighbours Karthikeyan, Gopalan and Sadanandan and a host of others ask with indignation why the Central Government did not try to establish communication with the Taliban via the Afghan Government. A few Congress workers, who were reluctant to reveal their names, blamed Minister for State for External Affairs E Ahmed. Some others blamed it on top bureaucrats in New Delhi who failed to rise to the occasion.
Some recalled how Samkutty, hailing from neighbouring Mavelikkara, was rescued after a terrorist group abducted him in Iraq a few years ago. At that time, New Delhi had acted quickly by establishing contact with the Iraqi government and also sent Minorities Commission member John Joseph to Iraq secure Samkutty's release. The Union Government's persistent efforts paid off, and Samkutty brought home safely. In the case of Maniappan, the Union Government did not act fast and effectively, many feel.
See how the govt treats non-hindus esp in Kerala
Anonymous right above is right.
Hindus lack solidarity. This is where the so called 'Matas',the self proclaimed 'representatives'of Hindus do graet disservice by their wobbly charities and wishy washy philosophising:-
indiscriminate feeding of Hindu haters and Hindu killers and those inimical to Hindus's welfare.
all encompassing hugging of the same as mentioned above and labelling it 'Hinduism' and justifying it too!
From the Statesman:
The Prime Minister has directed that all efforts be made to seek the safe return of the Indian hostage in Afghanistan — which the government noted “with deep concern” — and strengthening of security for the remaining Indians in Afghanistan.
A high-level inter-ministerial group has also been set up to monitor the developments. The Cabinet secretary will head the group that consists of officials from the home and external affairs ministries and security agencies.
This is the third day since Mr Maniappan Raman Kutty, a driver with Border Roads Organisation, was kidnapped on the afternoon of 19 November, along with an Afghan driver and two other Afghan security guards. They were taken hostage while travelling from Gurguri to Minar in Nimruz province.
He was killed because he was building roads for the BRO not because he was Hindu.
As for DarkStorm's silly assertion about Jehadis(Muslims) in the Army, it is because the Army has (since the time of the British) a policy of not encouraging Muslims to enlist or be given promotions. In fact AG Noorani had this article:
http://www.countercurrents.org/comm-noorani131003.htm
The Indian Army comprised 30-36 per cent Muslims at the time of Partition. Since then, it came down to 2 per cent. Only two Muslims rose to the rank of Lieutenant Generals; only six became Major Generals....
in 1985 George Fernandes, now Defence Minister, admitted "the Muslim is not wanted in the Armed Forces because he is always suspect - whether we want to admit it or not. Most Indians consider Muslims a fifth column for Pakistan." Whether he has done anything in redress remains one of his better kept secrets. The situation is no better in the Air Force or the Navy. The former Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat, a man of integrity, noted: "There are hardly any Muslim officers in the Navy and none of them holds posts of any consequence."
Why would any reasonable Muslim choose to be in the Indian army if it cannot treat its own soldiers and officers equally?
anonymous above,
I would not hire a muslim or christist as my maid even.
I would not hire a muslim or christist as my maid even
Well I wouldn't hire anyone as my maid either, surely, you can do the work yourself. Then why the big brouhaha against "racism" :)?
It is indeed funny how this Kalyani has pretensions about putting his/her point across with valid arguments, yet cannot refute a single point given by the anon about the reasons for Muslims not being a huge part of the INdina army.
As for hiring Xian or Muslim maids, why bother, Kalyani? You have, after all, had this Gid given right to have generations of "low castes" toiling away in your fields and homes for two square meals a day. That is a better arrangement than paying somebody to do a job, right?
So, I wonder how the Taliban in Afghanistan recognized that Maniappan is a Hindu. Perhaps, every Indian sent to rebuild there had tags saying which religion he followed.
Speaking of Hinduism being a religion or a binding force, Kalyani, I am not so sure. There is no religion called Hinduism. I live in India, so I am ready to be called a Hindu, irrespective of what religion I follow or which language I speak. People in India who are not Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists or Parsis cannot be grouped as one single remaining religious group. There are people who worship Kali, those who go to the Tirupati temple, the Aiyappa swamis etc. Each of these are different groups. This is not to say that these groups are so narrow minded as to discount the practices of others, like modern day dominating religions do. But grouping all these different people and their faiths as one religion, Hinduism is just to facilitate such puerile ranting from the likes of Kalyani andd San. To be a Hindu is much more than that.
Anonymous,
It IS a fact that I do my work myself.Disappointed?
Vishnu Bhagwat's wife is a muslim called Niloufer.
