Scientists make cloned human embryos, Vatican goes nuts

Scientists in California claimed to have cloned human embryos from skin cells, which if true would hold potential positive implications for people suffering from terminal diseases. Yet, the Christists immediately denounce it as "unethical, immoral" etc. What is with the christist obsession with prolonging painful, yet totally avoidable human suffering? A case in point was the Ghoul of Calcutta's "Missionaries of Charity" refusal to use anaesthesia when working with patients in obvious pain while telling them they were "Suffering for Christ"!!! Just more evidence that Christism devalues Science and rational thinking. There exists such a thing called "Christian Science", at least in America. There cannot be a more hilarious oxymoron than that.

On the other hand, it's good that the christists consider human cloning "sinful". It would prevent a proliferation of obnoxious padre clones. One John Dayal is nauseating enough - imagine if that scum bag turned into some kind of a Raktabeeja. Given the Church's track record regarding things that are "sinful" by their own definition, i.e. things like homosexuality, fornication etc, denunciation alone may not prevent them from adopting human cloning in service of their evangelising agenda.

The Ghoul of Cal also had heart surgery done. Any info if she was operated under anesthesia?

If the fundamentalist Christians had their way, they would ban painkillers in childbirth.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
