We’ll take sense of House After the nuke deal is operationalised

The government said on Wednesday that it would take the sense of Parliament on the India-U.S. nuclear agreement after the process of implementing the deal was completed. It emphasised that the deal would not impact India’s right to conduct nuclear tests or its foreign policy.

“We have never said we won’t take the sense of the House. Let the process be completed. There are several steps to be taken for operationalising the deal including approaching the International Atomic Energy Agency for India-specific safeguards, going to the Nuclear Suppliers Group and approval by the U.S. Congress. Once the 123 Agreement is completed we will take the sense of the House,” External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told the Rajya Sabha replying to a marathon discussion on the deal.

First, the obnoxious Priyaranjan DasMunshi and Somnath Chatterjee plotted to delay Parliamentary debate on the nuke deal, then disallowed discussion under Rule 184(which entails voting, hence risked the UPA being voted out of power). The debate was conducted under Rule 193 (which does not involve a vote). When a majority in Parliament was incontrovertibly proven to oppose the deal, DasMunshi declared that it did NOT convey the "sense of the House" because there had not been a vote!!!
Now, Pranab Mukherjee arrogantly says - let's complete implementation of the deal, then we can talk and take a "sense of the House". How can he get away such toxic verbal flatulence? In other words, the Kaangress led by the Shroud of Turin and Shikhandi MMS, two individuals with zero credibility and no mandate are presenting the nation with a fait accompli of servitude and emasculation!!!
