Hi Rajeev, I've been spreading that article article around myself, and I also meant to post it on here. Yes, the day is not far off where solar could be cheaper than nuclear power, and its energy available around the clock through stored hydrogen. But Nocera has only gotten the oxidation part of the reaction solved - the reduction part of the reaction, which transforms the liberated protons into molecular hydrogen, still depends on an expensive catalyst like platinum. If that part can be solved too, then the way would be fully open for solar energy.
