happy spring festival to all

apr 14th, 2007

whether it is vishu, tamil new year, baisakhi, or whatever else it is in your region.

of course, this is the ancient celebration of the vernal equinox, which fell on march 21st. as we have discussed before, because of the precession of the earth's axis, the 5000-year-old hindu calendar is off by three weeks.

happy spring and a happy new year to all.

maybe things will improve in india this year. the UPA is, like the republicans, proving to be a one-hit wonder. they are going to be trounced in UP, and the communists, despite all their bluster, will never live down nandigram.

Just wanted to bring attention to Rajeev's latest (spring related) article on Rediff.

Also (OT), a pragmatic take on the recent Agni-III test: India is just doing what great powers do

We are a long way from being a 'great power'...
