India finds a path to Oslo

India has joined only three other Asian countries - Japan, South Korea and Thailand - in snubbing Beijing's exhortations to shun Friday's Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo for jailed dissident Liu Xiaobo. With Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao paying a state visit to India this month, it's clear Delhi decided it could afford the negative impact. The position has nothing to do with human rights. - M K Bhadrakumar (Asia Times, Dec 9, '10)

He's an ambassador? What a shame.

Compare with our neighbour -- the most unproductive and destructive country has its ambassadors trotting the world portraying themselves as modern and progressive 'with issues like any other country'.

What luck.

Ex ambassador bhadrakumar is a weirdo. For bhadrakumar, the Indian ambassador’s pat down in the U.S. is a National Humiliation with a Capital H, to quote from his article in Rediff. (http://www.rediff.com/news/column/column-why-america-humiliated-indian-ambassador/20101210.htm)
But any amount of groveling and Chinese ass licking is perfectly acceptable; in fact, to go by his point of view, the Right Thing to do. And any sign of India standing up to China is nothing short of the Original Sin.
Strange guy indeed!! One thing is sure, Indian servility comes in all types.
