hiv cases fall in india

i have had the feeling that interested parties have been exaggerating the threat from hiv/aids in india. interestingly enough, most of those crying 'wolf' are christists. there is an element of 'let's see if we can latch on to some global aids funds under this pretext' -- christists worshipping mammon as usual with their customary gusto.

not that i am underplaying the possible havoc aids/hiv can play with the health of young people, but i think just like with bird flu (what happened with that? maneka gandhi claimed it was a ploy by pharma companies to sell a lot of useless junk) there has been a case of serious exaggeration here too.
