fabulous article on modi by ashok malik

jan 24th, 2007

thank you very much, kapidhwaja. do you have a (permanent) URL for this? i'd like to quote this piece in a column i am writing.

i had heard about vibrant gujarat but didnt realize that it was such a huge success.

i was in ahmedabad some time ago, and i was struck by the new departure lounge in the airport terminal: a very nice one, with the best bathrooms (gleaming, spotless, 5-star-hotel class).

the fact that modi's tenure is so succesful has a lot to do with the fact that he has kept close tabs on mohammedan mischief-makers.

also, in 2002, he did far more to quell disturbances than rajiv gandhi did in 1984 after the indira gandhi murder: but the marxist media does not give him credit. he is their worst nightmare: a hindu and a nationalist who is also bringing jobs and wealth to his state, brutally exposing the hollowness of their slogans, while bengal and kerala slide further down the drain.

Any info on how Vasundhara Raje Scindia is faring in Rajasthan? There is total blackout of any news about her in the ELM. So, I guess she must be doing a good job.

Thanks.

Congress will be trying to acquire all the development for free just like it reaped the fruits of India shining in 2004. Posters here aren't perhaps familiar with the news that Congress grabbed many councils in Gujarat in elections a few months ago. Without a drastic change in the mindset of common Hindu voter, and without a properly oiled propaganda machine, creating wealth is like placing the treasure vault in the open. Congress merely thinks of tactics, not of the nation, please note.

You are welcome, Rajeev.
Not sure how long the link will last. Usually Pioneer doesn't archive, and so the links don't work after sometime. You might want to consider that when you refer to the link in your article. Maybe you can contact the Pioneer folks directly about it.

And thank you Habc for providing the link.

Another Gujarat related story.

Gujarat has attracted commitments for investments to the tune of $140 billion from the three Global Investors' Summits held in the state in the last five years, the Chief Minister of the state Narendra Modi said here today.

Talking to reporters here, Modi said Gujarat had a success rate of 80 per cent in converting commitments into reality.

After the conclusion of the Global Investors' Summit-2007, as much as 352 MoUs were inked aggregating prospective investments worth Rs 4,61,835 crore, he informed.

"SEZs in Gujarat are going to be a model for India's driving force of future economic progress as land acquisition is not a problem at all. On the contrary SEZs are designed to utilise fallow and saline land on the vast sea coast," the CM pointed out.
