HHR Press Release - 8th March 2006, Terrorist Attacks on Hindu Holy City

Hindu Human Rights Group condemns the latest terrorist outrage aimed at Hindus in India. This time the attack took place at the holy city of Varanasi, site of pilgrimage to millions of people. Our sympathies go to the victims and families of the 20 fatalities and the 60 or so that were injured. Just minutes before the main worship at the Sankat Mochan temple, the incendiary devices went off, timed for what was obviously maximum effect in causing death, destruction and injury. This was followed by blasts at the city's railway station.

HHR emphasises the dual fact that this attack was aimed at both murdering as many innocent Hindus as possible, but also as a symbolic attack on one of Hinduism's most sacred places, an ancient city dating back thousands of years to at least the time of the Mahabharata. It is unfortunate that unlike analogous circumstances, the media chooses to largely ignore the specific anti-Hindu aspects of this atrocity. HHR is also appalled by the rather laissez-faire attitude of the Congress led Indian government regarding this and similar anti-Hindu outrages.

I saw for the umpteenth time certain minusters and Prime minuster come out with their blase (don't know how to put the stroke on 'e') responses.

The news readers too (durdarshan, ndtv i.e.,pakitv)with their 'could not care less' expressions.

Had it been, say, queering the *cricket pitch*( not to mention cartoons),I am sure would have stirred their souls, yess, soulss. What was the statement quoted by K.P.S.Gill..."that a m.thief is better than gandhi..."

Right. The gandhiclones are advising *us* to be calm and work towards peace.

Where is that *peace*,we all can work for?Reminds me of a takeoff on a bollywood actor, who says prior to playing in a soccer tournament:-

"Ham zaroor cup jeethenge;jeet hamari zaroor hogi;yaad rakhna, harne wale nahin hai hum.(pause)Ball kidhar hai?"

hadvani and his yesmen are predictably and deplorably trying to capitalise on this carnage, as a launching pad to capture power.

I find not much of a difference between kaangress and bjp as far as appeasement of muslims is concerned. When VHP people were lathicharged brutally during their visit to Ayodhya, bjp was at the centre.Forked tongued hadvani periodically hangs his bipolar head in shame while recalling babri masjid demolition.

One upright police officer called Bapat of Mumbai had to face a lot of witchhunting.Which hadvanihajpayee took up cudgels or at best *lambasted*??

Sane Hindus should not let themselves be exploited by hadvanihajpayee clones.

I am YEARNING to see a completely spunky ,spirited, vibrant and resurgent Bharatham!

And let the right to recall (LokPal)remain with us.To hell with this opprobrium of putting up with any irresponsible, callous government that cannot be held accountable too!
