nytimes: ameican theocracy and fukuyama's work

mar 19th

interesting book review on how the fundies are screwing the us.

the same could be said of the fascist stalinists and marxists of india.

interesting excerpts. india has exactly the same kind of marxist true-believers, equally dense and idiotic. the only difference is that they are far-left:

"On the far right is a still obscure but, Phillips says, rapidly growing group of "Christian Reconstructionists" who believe in a " Taliban-like" reversal of women's rights, who describe the separation of church and state as a "myth" and who call openly for a theocratic government shaped by Christian doctrine. A much larger group of Protestants, perhaps as many as a third of the population, claims to believe in the supposed biblical prophecies of an imminent "rapture" — the return of Jesus to the world and the elevation of believers to heaven."

india's china worshippers are waiting for the second coming of mao. they are also anti-woman and anti-low-caste/tribe. i have an article from the EPW that shows how marxist rule has been pretty bad for women and the lower castes. if i get a chance, i'll post the detials.

no wonder the marxists are on such good terms with the creationists of america such as witzel and famer. from one blind-faith-fundie to another.

and more: isn't this a very precise description of the UPA? think arjun singh, the nuke deal etc.

"Instead, he presents a nightmarish vision of ideological extremism, catastrophic fiscal irresponsibility, rampant greed and dangerous shortsightedness."

another book: fukuyama, famous conservative, has now undergone a conversion of sorts:

Rise of fundu christians in America would inevitably lead to more open war with fundu muslims - at least that's the hope of this peace loving non-semite. But the danger to rest of the world is that if these behemoths decide to call it off, declare an uneasy truce and decide to divvy up the territory then Hindus and Hinduism are in real trouble. There's 50-50 chance of such a war since welfare states of Europe have no stomach for fight.
