A Hindu Nationalist Perspective
Borrowing his own words, the right thinking amongst us ought to respond:-"Up with this,we will not put".(churchill said that when he could not cope with English Grammar..he found prepositions conjunctions etc too odious:))Anyway,we are the architects of our fate.I went through the responses of detractors to Sri.Rajnath Singh's observation that "cricketers can't be our heroes".Quite revelatory!I wonder whether people(a huge chunk I mean) of any other contry in the world,is so irrevocably besotted with cricket and filmworld,to the detriment of national interests.(which alone ,eventually would translate itself into well being of the world).Oh yes..,trust them to preen and prattle...."...you know...our culture...you know....Hinduism is the oldest,greatest....you know..." with despicable LEVITY!
If the crap called "history" we are reading is any indication, future generations will read that Godra was either an accident or a mass suicide by some deranged karsevaks and if pankaj vohra from hindustantimes has any say it's all Narendra Modi's doing. Narendra Modi was next Hitler. In Gujrat pogrom, thousands, sorry millions of muslims were killed. Sonia was the solitary light that shone admist the gloom. Manmohan Singh was the greatest prime minister, of course, only after the clan. Arjun Singh was the beacon of secularism among the communal cusses like BJP and RSS. And Quotrochi was the greatest non-indian patriot. And Advani is right about "justice" Banarjee. He can easily prove 9/11an accident.
Secularists won, says Times of India
Times of india is timebomb wreaking havoc within India. So SSad!Why club all under the label "south asians"? Also what do we have in common with those "terrorists" other than language? It is so full of intrigues and counter intrigues.Add to that evangelists' agenda of purloining all related to Hinduism;dalits routinely crying wolf.....Could all this "hearing" be just another charade?
Pakistan is now imitating big brother China, and trying to ban blogs and websites which depict or discuss dangerous content, such as the Dutch cartoons on the Prophet:http://www.boingboing.net/2006/03/20/pakistan_bans_websit.html
Well, I see no effort on the part of concerned groups to challenge the Dalits, Leftists and Tamils on their monopolistic claim to be the "tolerant" and "enlightened" voices.Any may I once again point out that Tamil sangams have taken the lead in putting their parochialism over all-India perspectives. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. Dravidian parochialism only undermines wider Indian unity, which they frankly don't much care for.Dalit groups would have more credibility if they could move beyond their "pity me" narcissism, and look at developmental issues rather than blaming everything on "elites" and "oppressors".If they can't do that, then the appropriate thing to do is for sangh groups to align with lowest sections against the lower-middle sections (eg. BJP+BSP vs SP). Then we can talk about how discrimination is practiced by even the lower middle castes against the lowest. Even Indian Maoist camps have been known to practice caste-segregation, which should then call their communist credentials into question. But aren't all communists invariably hypocritical anyway?
Indu Jain or her sons own TOI. Indu jain probably has taken a course on Vipassna mediation or has got some access on the spiritual stuff. She once told on the TV that, she wants to watch her death- quite profound. Why exactly they can't see this aryan invasion racism stuff is a mystery. Power and prestige has got to their head. I think Indu jain would go to hell, instead of watching her death.
Here's a funny article on the new Patriot Act Monopoly Game which parodies the War on Terror. We need our own version of Monopoly, which parodies the pseudo-secular fake liberalism practiced by our own leftists.Instead of "Going to Jail" you can suffer a bomb blast, or one of Teesta Setelvad's lawsuits.
".Tamil sangams have taken the lead in putting their parochialism over all-India perspectives. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. Dravidian parochialism only undermines wider Indian unity, which they frankly don't much care for".San is absolutely right.Though my mother tongue is Thamizh (and I was born in Trichy)Tamil Nadu is becoming a *no go area*.San the other link you gave 'desicritics' is an interesting one.Thank You!
".Tamil sangams have taken the lead in putting their parochialism over all-India perspectives. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. Dravidian parochialism only undermines wider Indian unity, which they frankly don't much care for". The secularists are working since long to convince the tamil population that, there could be a separate stream in the universe, another wandering one, wandering aimlessly as the wandering folks from elsewhere in India. Because they have the power, they manage these arguments well, just like the TOI article gives a different twist to the witzels racist ideas. By the time the tamils get out of it, they would have lost a lot unnecessarily.
About Indu Jain :When I came to know that a woman & that too a supposedly old & 'spiritual' woman like her owns TOI, I was shocked considering the pornographic content of Bombay Times. (I am not sure if it is still so).I see no difference between her & Playboy's Hugh Hefner.
TOI is actually referred 2 as 'Toilet Paper of India', 'Timepass of India' on the Net and has morphed itself into a tabloid--on the lines of Sun, Daily Mirror etc of UK--over the last decade.Well, what a fall 4m grace for the Old Lady of Boribunder always trying 2 play catchup as a 2-bit hooker competing with more agile and relevant news media (internet, upcoming DNA & vernacular newspapers). I guess the decline started way back in early 90s when Jain bandhu--Sameer & Vineet--took over the day-2-day running of BCCI (the parent holding co.) and changed the format as well as its content by bringing in MacCaulay 'putras' like Dileep Padgaonkar, Bachi Karkaria, Jug Suriyya, Kaveree Bamzai etc. thereby making the TOI a pale shadow of its former-self (esp. when stalwarts like Giri Lal Jain use to sit in the editors chair--I know @ that time TOI had a neutral stand vis-a-vis the Cong Govt at Center, with HT being the Congi mouthpiece and Indian Express under the gr8 leadership of Late Sh Ramnath Goenka & Arun Shourie constantly at loggerheads with the Congress.Really, TOI has become a joke, I guess the brothers Jain visualize themselves as 'desi'Rupert Murdoch and just to keep the powers-be happy, know how 2 put a 'sickular' spin on every news item (esp. one that relates to Hinduism or Hindus).Seems like the guys at TOI have stopped using their brains long ago and now virtually take orders 4m the reigning deity of 10 Janpath, so much so 4 the freedoam and independence of press in India--not even worth the paper they throw up their sickening thoughts on.Sure, with the kinda revenue TOI is generating, the late patriarch Ashok Jain must sure be gurgling with pride in his grave--way 2 go boys, keep flying the TOI flag high--even if it means rubbing India (& its majority poplulation)'s nose in dust at every opportunity.
EkSh00nyaSh00nya,u were spot on. it is a common knowledge that dilip padgaonkar is a gandhi family puppet. also, the content of this toilet paper really took a dip for the worse somewhere around 1999-2000 when toi realized that the bulk of it's readership came from the 20-30 age bandwidth; which partially explains it's porn character, btwalso, the notion of hindutva and nationalism does not appeal to this audience which considers salman khan a hero.[puke ...]so toi is doing business. pure business. the gen-next as they [we] like to be called is so shallow that it considers sonia gandhi's collection of saris to be a bigger news than indo-us nuclear deal.toi is happy to loose people like me [who still believe in cultural nationalism] for this new bpo/it audience. in a way it is symbiosis.both are fit for each other.i have had the misfortune of reading that paper for many years while i was in mumbai. there was no other option. 'IE' was the only other one, besides 'mid-day' which is run by a muslim organisation so as a rule is loaded with sickular crap.i believe toi operates out of mumbai and dehli. not sure of dehli. but if people of a city reject an honest man like ram naik in favour of a clown like govinda, that city does not deserve anything better than toi.oh and by the way your alias "EkSh00nyaSh00nya" reminds me of a marathi serial that used to come on mumbai doordarshan long back.."saheb kuthley tumhi?"
This 4 Kaunteya:>>by the way your alias "EkSh00nyaSh00nya" reminds me of a marathi serial...Well Kaunteya ji, way back in the 80s, when soap operas started appearing on Doordarshan (the only channel which the lesser mortals had at that time) after the advent of Hum Log in '84, film-maker Kundan Shah had made a serial on the workings of Indian Police system (like the deaths in lock ups, third degree treatment et al) and he had submitted it 4 review with the Doordarshan (I think around '85-86), which on the orders of the then Rajeev Gandi Govt. had actually banned the serial and no one ever heard of it again--I have plagiarised :) or 2 b more diplomatic--inspired by :)--its title 4 my alias!I dunno whether it was the same serial u r referring 2?
>> ...but if people of a city reject an honest man like ram naik in favour of a clown like govinda...Well u know what they say:Ultimately in life u get what u deserveI guess Mumbai manoos wanted a clown like Govinda 2 b their representative in the Parliament, so they chose him.Not a bad choice indeed, IMHO, as he is joined other clowns. The word 'Parliament' actually means an assembly of Owls (Uloo in Hindi), and Owl is considered 2 b a wise bird, but hey, look what we have in the name of Indian Parliament--a pack of jokers, a buch of rascals, who have no qualms in making merry @ the taxpayers hard earned money, so I guess Govinda landed in the right place. Also, I heard or read somewhere that the voters in his consituency r very unhappy with him due 2 his non-performance both in 'Parliament' :) as well as back home, well 4 those 'unfortunate' souls I have just one piece of wisdom:U made ur bed, u lie in it!:))
We loved ek shunya shunya : Shivaji Satam, right ? Serials were watchable those days.
Alright, time for a little humour break - I was rolling on the floor laughing after seeing this short little indie film:http://callcentermovie.com/movie/movie.htmlHaha, the future of the Indian economy and lifestyle. ;)That's one to pass on, imho.
San, there is this book "One night at the call center" by chetan bhagat , based on life in a call center. The reviews are bad, but the authors previous work "Five point someone" is somewhat good. Readable and makes you recall your own old times, and somehow, engineers would connect to it.
lazysusan, Indu jain is a page 3 type old and spiritual person. Another example would be Vijay mallya. he says he is spiritual, but look at his calendars. Yeah, but I am thankful to him, for his breweries. :-)
Another example would be Vijay mallya. he says he is spiritual, but look at his calendars.Yo DarkStorm, Vijay Mallya might be a spiritual person in the Shakti-worshipping Tantric way. What's wrong with that?:-)
um...sorry but I wont equate Vijay Mallya with Indu Jain.Mallya prints calenders but we have a choice NOT to buy them. And I dont know how 'porno' those are because I havent seen any.Whereas TOI had/has a monopoly over readers in Mumbai atleast. Moreover it is a national newspaper. Having semi-porn delivered to your breakfast table every morning, where you sit & read with your parents, children & grandparents is ethically very wrong. (And should be made illegal too.) What does Indu Jain mean by this ? Would she sit with her grandchildren persuing Playboy or something like that ?
Not sure if my message got posted. Reposting :"um...sorry but I wont equate Vijay Mallya with Indu Jain.Mallya prints calenders but we have a choice NOT to buy them.
