of course, it's our fault. mad cow disease couldn't possibly have arisen from the brits' disgusting practice of grinding up dead sheeps' brains and other organs and feeding them to cows.
and i like the casual insinuation that vCJD (i dont know what the v stands for) is common in india. the only place where CJD is widespread is actually papua new guinea, where the cannibals have been known to eat their victims' brains, leading to a disease called kourou which is close to BSE (bovine spongiform encephalitis) and CJD (creuzfeld-jakob disease). the culprit prion is supposed to be transmitted by the consumption of brain and other neural cells.
in india, the only population that is known to be headhunters is the nagas and i am not sure if they were cannibals and ate human brains. in any case, they are christists, deliciously enough. so if there is CJD in india, it is most likely to be in the naga community.
