Is 'String of Pearls' Overblown?
An article in The Diplomat claims that China's current strategic expansion doesn't represent a true acquisition of a network of naval bases, like those of the USA or Imperial Britain. Instead it's just a natural expansion of maritime commerce, the article claims.
