Seemingly unconnected stories are often connected. The 'father' of Pakistani bomb has finally recanted his confession - I guess Musharraf's arm-twisting is not worth much in Pakistan now http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/31/world/asia/31khan.html?partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
Notice the rant about the Prophet, religion and book - sounds like a "scientists"?
No surprise here - practically everyone knew that it was the state and not the scientists proliferating the Islamic bomb. The related story of curse is the Pakistani media being agog about Musharraf heading off to Turkey . Aslam Beg of course is the rabid Islamist who took over the Pak army after Zia (who he most likely assassinated) and was at the forefront of the Islamic Jihad in Kashmir. These guys are making a comeback - which spells more trouble for India
