At last - some positive news vis-a-vis China

I am not sure what to make of it though. The positive aspect is that we are building the road. The negative aspect is that if the Chinese capture things quickly (which they can mind you, with due help from Marigolder Yechuri and the Christist Church) they can advance to the hinterland quicker. Assam specially put at great risk - sandwiched between the Bangladeshis and Chinese.

I like the idea of settling people there though. I have been to the seven sister states while at college and it is without doubt the most beautiful part of India. The forests make you feel like you are still living in the time when the epics were being written.

This is yet another lost opportunity thanks to the Kangress. All they got by way of development was the idiotic Raju Gandhi dancing with the Adivasis (animists, in Christist terms; aka sinners). The NE should receive more tourists than Kashmir. Specially if they make the Buddhist tourist circuit work. We can get back all the locals that have been 'harvested'

This is the best forum to ask for the help I need. I shall soon be going for vacation to India and plan on visiting the ruins of Vijaynagar empire at Hampi, Karnataka.
Anyone has a reading list on
1- The accomplishments of the Vijaynagar empire (math, astronomy, literature et al.)
2- History (forms of government, lineage of Kings etc.)
3- Most important - narratives of it's destruction and plunder at the hands of Islamist hordes.

What I would ideally like to do (in case I can manage that much time) is to put together a photo montage highlighting notable sights etc.
