nytimes on hizbollah: perfect description of ISI/pakistan too

aug 1st, 2006

absolutely perfect to describe the situation that prevails in india.

just replace 'israel' with 'india'; 'hizbollah' with 'ISI'; and 'iran' with 'pakistan'.

the ISI is a non-state actor which has the powers of a state behind it; and it has no compunctions about civilian casualties.

of course, the nytimes did not see fit to write an editorial on the mumbai bombings. as far as they are concerned, indians being killed by mohammedan terrorists is 'collateral damage'.
