the mole

aug 3rd, 2006

why is the usually 'unflappable' manmohan singh so singularly agitated about the 'mole' issue? who is he protecting? surely not arunachalam or naresh chandra?

enquiring minds want to know.

similarly, saw the news about natwar and son being indicted for volckergate. of course, a certificate of innocence has been issued to a) the congress party, b) sonia gandhi, c) vincent george, d) vincent george's dog. it's nice that there are judges who are so, how shall i put it, agreeable?

like justice 'spontaneous combustion' banerjee. we should hire him out to the us 9/11 commission. he'll 'prove' that a group of conspirators *inside* the world trade center fabricated the plane hitting the building. in reality it was a projectile that they hurled from *inside* the building that was seen on television screens.

I think Manmohan Singh himself is the mole, considering his anti-nuclear stance and squandering our nuclear deterrence to the US under the guise of an astonishingly anti national nuclear deal.

That could be the reason why Jaswant Singh have so far not given the name publicly but gave so many hints that got this Moron Singh pissing in his pants and to divert attention he started attacking Jaswant instead.

siva,

that was such an interesting point you made. i was enjoying the mole mystery for some time, thinking the name would be found out soon, but now it has become like stale food, to be thrown away.

no, it's not manmohan, becoz, jaswant said the person is now OUTSIDE india, and also, is not in a position to harm india's interets.

No, it is not arunachalam. Jaswant openly said it is not arunachalam.

But why he wont say the name is now the real mystery.

Instead of drawing attention to the mole, Jaswant has ended up becoming ceterpiece and in a way damaging himself, because he isnt parting with the name.

San,

Jaswant is not obligated to name the mole. Because he didnt go around crying "there was a mole, there was a mole". He made certain statements in the book he wrote, that implied there was a mole in the old PMO office. (I saw the interview with. Ms. B.Dutt).

Does not mean he has to go public with the mole's name. He has documents showing some evidence. But no American will ratify the evidence.

It guess Jaswant's message is just - protect country from moles.

Some people are just too decent to name another without a genuine need. he has already said the mole did not give any really damaging info, and the mole cannot cause harm anymore to india.

How can Mr. Jaswant Singh be so sure that he did not pass any damaging info? Penetration of PMO by foriegn intellegence agencies is a serious issue. Jaswant should name if he knows. Or ask for an appointment with PM and discuss this. Or explain what measures were taken by NDA govt during their 5 year rule. Just creating a storm in a tea cup is not a great political move.

Jaswant has already said he will not name the mole in public.

And that PM's should not throw wrestling match challenges.

He said he will personally hand over available evidence to PM.

He hands over some papers, and PM rejects them as "not originals, and lacking any official signature".

What is Jaswant to do if evidence is rejected ? What is he to do if the answer if staring in one's face (from the papers), but PM refuses to see the answer ?

Should Jaswant release the evidence to the press and have NDTV or CNN-IBN debate on it ? I hope that does not happen. There are enough burning issues at this point.

Let India focus on terrorism, not on old moles :-)
