happy ganesh chaturthi

aug 27th, 2006

happy ganesh chaturthi, gowri-ganesh pooja!

also today is atham, the tenth day of onam, the first day of the flower arrangements in anticipation of the return of king mahabali on tiruvonam day.

i feel like breaking into rhyme:

"on the tenth day of onam, my true love sent to me...
... and a partridge in a pear tree". :-)

on another point, note that mars is at its closest to the earth in about 60,000 years, and visible quite clearly to the naked eye. astrologers say this presages war, as the red planet is the lord of war. may the bugti murder presage serious problems for pakistan!

Responding to KapiDhwaja's posting on Uranium deposits in Meghalaya a few days ago I joked how we will gift it away to the enemies. But in all seriousness, here is a country that we should have no qualms in sharing the reserves with
In fact, we should invite their investment in helping mine it! That will make the Han Dragon really see Red!!! When (an not if) our scientists perfect Thorium and Breeder Reactor technologies in the civilian space- here is one nation we should start "proliferating" to, and have "nuclear deals" with. Seriously - what can the Yankees do anyways? Threaten us with Evangelicals?
I am all for concirciling the Chinese and eroding Yankee influence at the same time.

This is about Vande Mataram. Here is the most recent IBN headline.

"BJP goes gaga over Vande Mataram ".

To my mind, this is an insult of the National Anthem. What do you all think?

There is an urgent need to discipline the non-muslim employees of the Jihadists and anti-nationals. If the person/medium that flagged this headline is brought to books, they will learn a good lesson. Would somebody file a case against IBN?
(Don't ask why I am not doing it..I noticed something. I posted it. I hope some organisation takes up this matter.)
