interesting photo of their regulars on parade. the guy in the right foreground looks exactly like sylvester stallone (minus some muscle and plus a beard) on a bad day.
the story about hizbollah being an army is ditto for the ISI's various creations. the taliban, allegedly a militia, was basically pakistani army regulars who had grown a beard and put on a black turban. i have been saying this for years (eg. what happened at kunduz, where the americans allowed the pakistanis to evacuate a large number of taliban/senior pakistani officers). the 'freedom fighters' who attacked kargil were in fact the northern light infantry in baggy pants. the laskhar-e-toiba and so forth are basically pakistani army out of uniform. after all, the godfather of pakistani terror is the former army and ISI man, hamid gul (who by the way arundhati roy was photographed expressing great camaraderie and mutual admiration with a few years ago).
the nytimes is bothered when israel is attacked, but there is also a sneaking admiration for the clever syrians and iranians. they must be so clever because they are mohammedans, is the implication the nytimes is making. they are also suggesting subtly that israel is going to lose this war. unless, of course, the us steps in and sends more money and some troops.

Legislation on reservation for Christians, Muslims coming
The State Government would bring out legislation on reservation for Christian and Muslim religious minorities in all educational institutions and employment, Minister for Backward Classes M.R.K.Panneerselvam told the Assembly on Monday.

Why should the humble Indian tax-payer bear the burden of feeding this parasite...when she hates India (and everything, except the minorities, associated it with it)...why not strip her of her Indian citizenship and throw her out of the India instead, when she never gets tired of proclaiming herself the citizen of the world...then she can go and rest cozily in the arms of her chum Musharraf & his cronies -- they'll hump her and extract the last bit out of her and then throw her out on the streets where even a rabid dog would feel contempt to pee on her!
