The Sikh community are indeed a great asset to Canada.
One interesting thing is that Defense Minister Sajjan is also an active reservist member of the army - so he still holds an active military rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, even while also being the Defense Minister. Other military personnel may outrank him in the active duty context, but he would outrank them in the context of being the country's Defense Minister.
