Please vote for Angkor Wat

Now, such lists do not matter, but still, they will reach every textbook, newspaper and will be referred to as the "seven wonders of the world"

So please vote for Angkor Wat. I have cast my vote. Today is the last day. You have to put in exactly 7 votes (I dont recall my other choices but they included Stonehenge, colosseum, acropolis, etc)

And please avoid Taj Mahal. I have been spammed enough asking to vote for Tajmahal, even on my mobile phone. After all, its just a grave of a tyrant's wife, built over a destroyed Hindu temple, and not any "monument of love" and suchlike. Is that all we can come up with? Hampi and Konark sun temple are works on a much more massive scale than Tajmahal. And built at a time when construction techniques were less developed than the Tajmahal period. But they are not on the list.

Also, Unesco is not involved in this - http://portal.unesco.org/culture/en/ev.php-URL_ID=34330&URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&URL_SECTION=201.html

So how valid is this poll?

But then, go ahead and vote online - its free.

Thanks Siva,

Was not aware of that. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

So if Taj Mahal is actually a temple, we should be voting for it, isn't it?

Call, it fatigue, but I somehow did not manage to take some time out to vote:

But here is something pointed out in a group.

".. but being on a list like that provides a very large monetary and reputational boost to our country. "
