Stop the presses! Those stuck-up Indians are finally admitting that they suffer from terrorism too! This is in stark contrast to the saintly Atlanticist mouthpieces like NYT, who have been constantly warning Indians that they face a dire threat from terrorism! Amelia Gentlemen, the successor to Barbara Crossette, has apparently saved us again from our own myopic ignorance.
Apparently, Denial ain't just a river in Egypt -- it's a river in India too!
Golly, what would we do without the vigilant ethics of the NYT to finally force us to see that India too suffers from Islamist terrorism? After all these decades of our own denial about terrorist atrocities, the Atlanticists are warning us to wake up! Next week, they may actually warn us that China has occupied Tibet. We're always the last to know -- no wonder we're to blame for everything.

USA led by Bush is suffering less from terrorism than from terror. The latter is a state of mind, and is quite different from the former.
It was because of the terror in Bush's mind that he coined the phrase “War Against Terror”. IOW he is trying to fight, not terrorism, but the terror in his own mind, which has fried his brain to such an extent that he has been unable to see that the Pakis are the real source of almost all the Islamist terrorism in the world.
Are India's leaders kids? what kind of hopeless idiot would argue that India does not have a huge terrorist population ready to be gainfully employed anywhere in the world?
indian leaders are not kids. they know what happens in mosques across the length and breadth of india and are in serious awe of the religious nature of the violence that is perpretated mostly after Friday meetings and on every other conceiavle opertunity.
BUT, reducing violence and securing the lives and property of ordinary indians do not figure on their priority list, simply because this has never been an election issue unlike secularism, and onion.
We are babes in the woods, it seems. and our leaders are enjoying the authority without responsibilty (excluding manmohan singh) as a result.
Finally, democracy is anathema to anything islamic. There is NO islamic country that is democratic in true sense. Turkey needs a vigilant military to protect secularism from its own islamic politicians and malaysia is factually racist and discriminates aganist non-muslims.
