Yes, Kurzweil's ideas about the Singularity or Convergence in 2040 are interesting. The pace of technological change is accelerating, and advances in physics, biomedical, molecular and information sciences may take us beyond the reach of the Human Condition. It certainly is an interesting time to be alive.
