Deus Ex Sonia
Apparently, Sonia's goddess status has reached new heights. A Congress party official was fired for depicting her as Durga. No doubt such depictions are considered beneath her almighty supreme status. Ah, good cult worshippers are so hard to find.

I wont be surprised if the REAL reason for his sacking had more to do with the fact that Sonia was represented as a "brutal" and "barbaric" heathen goddess.
Had she been represented as Mother Mary (Rahul baba is, after all, the man who will save india), it may have gone down quite differently.
Remember that paint dauber MF Hussain who attempted to "depict" Indira Ghandy as Durga? The "Con"men continue to support him. Why this difference in approach?
Good point witan - I guess artistic freedom is also available only to a few and certainly to be denied to a few Congressmen!
Overall - this could even have been a hatchet job by the BJP-wallahs (or even Mayawati) - get a Congress insider to do something to piss-off the Hindu voters (more specifically the upper castes) - the equivalent of the BJP CD-gate.
I know it sounds kind of far-fetched and conspiracy-theorist ; but believe me UP is a strange place
