Animation: Sivaji, Seetha Rama Raju

Here's an outtake from the animated story on Sivaji, the legendary Maratha hero and Robin Hood-style freedom fighter against Moghul tyranny. Here's another from the animated story of Seetha Rama Raju, the courageous Telugu freedom fighter against British rule.

The quality of the art stills was good, but the animation itself needed improvement. Similarly, while some aspects of the soundwork were good, the voice acting was still lacking and they should have improved the background music. I think we'll have to wait for Indian animation to mature more before they can really start turning heads. Nevertheless, a valiant effort.

Robin Hood-style freedom fighter against Moghul tyranny ??

Shivaji was founder of the Maratha Empire that covered most of India and the *ONLY* leader who stood up to the mughals AND DEFEATED them. Perhaps a short review of history is in order, not the JNU types though

This was a demeaning comment on Shivaji, indeed.

I agree with Shrirang. At a time when other rulers were busy pimping out their sisters and daughters to Mughal rulers in return for goodies, here was a king who built an army from scratch and stood up in challenge to the Islamicists, extending he Hindu empire to the Northern frontiers of India. Yet, sadly, his glory is limited to the land of Maharashtra where he hailed from, with everyone else singing paens to the "valorous" Rajputs. Jawaharlal Nehru has also insulted him calling him a "mountain rat" when the fact of the matter is he couldn't have held a candle to one of the greatest warriors of the world. Please change your post san, or at least post a follow-up that's appropriately reworded.

shrirang, hi, assuming you are the same person (doctor) that i have met. i don't think san meant any disrespect to shivaji, from what i know of san. i do agree though that shivaji has been a victim of the 'eminent historian' clique which has painted him a villain in the state history books all over the country. any genuine heroes in india are denigrated, and people like tipu sultan, a murderous jihadi, are lionized. our history books are pure instruments for brainwashing.
