Stephen Vaiko & TimesNow having sleepless nights

Foolhardy Jesuit "Father" Alexis Prem Kumar (sic) abducted by Taliban. What was he doing in Afghanistan? What "mission" was he executing? Was he serving India's national interests?

These foolhardy Indian christist missionaries are responsible for promoting disharmony and fishing in troubled waters in our extended neighborhood - Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar apart from remote regions of India itself. Their activities contribute to the deficit of trust and goodwill in our neighbors and give credence to dark rumors of "Indian interference".

Why should the Government of India and the Indian taxpayer have to bear the cross for this foolhardy Jesuit and others of his ilk? Isn't that the Vatican's responsibility?

WTF? Stephen Vaiko? Vai. Gopalswamy is very much a Hindu and an ally of the BJP. His only problem is that he is too steeped in the Tamil Eazham delusion and considers himself a savior of Tamils of all color, creed, and religion.

I posted a comment pointing out that I had already brought this to the notice of readers in my EARLIER comment under the blog, http://rajeev2004.blogspot.in/2014/06/secular-kerala-secular-people-do-their.html
For some reason, my comment has not appeared. Has it been removed? If so, why? Has it been "moderated"?

Anti-Christian chants in Britain schools: Report
The Statesman Jun 09, 2014

Press Trust of India London, 8 June Britain's anti-extremism investigation in schools has found that children as young as six were told that “white women were prostitutes” and urged to join in anti-Christian chants, according to a media report today.

@ Pro wrestling fan - Vaiko is much a committed ally as Ram Vilas Paswan. We've seen many such "allies". If he is really a champion of Tamil people regardless of faith, why does he not advocate the cause of oppressed Tamil Hindus in Muslim Malaysia with equal prominence? In fact, we've never seen such an advocacy at all, ever. Are Tamil Hindus considered lesser Hindus for some reason? I've read reports about his involvement with rabid evangelicals - but have no personal confirmation about the same. I'm basing my opinion on his actions in the public domain.Vanakkam.

Are Hindu Tamils lesser Tamils?

@Karyakarta92 - I'm not denying his involvement with evangelicals. Pretty much every single 'Dravidian' politician in Tamilnadu has associations with these elements. It's a sad state of affairs.

Having said that, I believe that Vaiko is not as seditious and treacherous as many of his Dravidian counterparts. He has consistently talked about issues that affects local Tamils (TASMAC, environmental degradation, shootings of TN fishermen, and so on).

His only problem is that he still genuinely believes that a Tamil Eazham is possible and devotes his time on Sri Lankan Tamils more than he does on local Tamils. It's one of the reasons he or his party men haven't managed to win an election in ages.

I haven't voted for him in the past and will never do so, as I hate him for associating himself with evangelicals. But he isn't guilty of anything that MuKa or JJ haven't done before.

True, the dirty politicians are all the same - Kevin Karunanidhi, Stalin. (!) or Amma. The title of Stephen was given pejoratively merely due to Vaiko's breast beating for Alexis Prem Kumar.
