Preet Bharara is the epitome of the India-hating, Khalistani-sympathizing Sikh who blames everything bad in India on Hindus. I know many such people and they tell me that they feel closer to Pakistani Punjabis than Indian Hindus. Canada is full of them and many parts of the US are too. They all support the Aam Aadmi Party, hate Hindus, and are more against the BJP than the Congress. Their favoring the Congress over the BJP seems counter-intuitive till you realize that they are pretty much against whoever represents Hindu interests the most. The Congress, even though it perpetrated the 1984 riots in Delhi, is no longer seen by these Sikhs as Hindu-leaning but the BJP is. The alliance of the BJP with the Shiromani Akali Dal is also a bit weird when you consider it.
