india's feeble foreign policy: from 'foreign affairs' a year ago

can the country fix some of these problems?

one of the major issues is that there is no strategic intent. there is no goal set up. everyone is running around doing things tactically rather than based on a long-term objective. this is a guaranteed recipe for disaster, and we have seen the effects.

we need a goal, an objective. i have a suggestion: india should strive to be the world's top power by 2050. period. it's not impossible, but will not be easy.
