I think that cloud gaming services are going to be strong drivers. As with everything consumer-related, seek out the impulse buyers first.
The gamer demographic are the most likely to go in for spending money on new technologies which can provide them more thrilling experiences. They're the driving force behind improvements in graphics chips, and even CPU horsepower.
The only obstacle with the cloud is the latency on game response, because things are traveling over a distance. This can be solved by strategically locating data centres in the key demographic areas, as well as in selecting games which are less sensitive to latency or delayed response.
Eventually, I'd expect technologies to emerge which put more focus on reducing latency problems.
