forwarded by ram narayan. i didn't read the report, since as soon as i saw names like stephen cohen as authors, i knew that it would have a lot of windbag nonsense in it, with the summary being: "pakistan cannot be allowed to fall apart. it is out best ally in the region." they used to say this about a) zia, b) bhutto, c) benazir, d) musharraf, so it's like a broken record with no meaning.

Obama made the right noise about Pukistan yesterday. He was soft, true to a American guy, but atleast he had the nerves to say, if they had Osama in sight, and Pak is not willing to take them out, he would. Am sure, in Pak there are some who are spinning it as against their sovereignty etc. But thats political junkie.
