Pope and Saudi Ruler Meet

Oh look, it's a meeting of the minds. Not. The heads of two infamous royal houses are getting together to discuss... what do they have in common again?

they have *everything* in common, san. read the history of the papacy. the saudi barbarians will be hard put to match the godmen in depravity, debauchery, cruelty, genocide, etc. but they surely are trying hard to match up to the exalted standards set by the good 'fathers' in rome.

When the Saudi King went to London recently - the band played the "Imperial March" from Star Wars (which is played when Darth Vader is shown.
Someone surely lost his job over that one - but pretty brave of those brits to have pulled it off.

Apart from the barbarism, debauchery, cruelty, genocide etc -even at a theological level, they are cousins. They have a long shared lineage of semitic
"prophets". See son of "Abraham/Ibrahim" meets son of "Isaac/Ishaq" or is it some Gabriel/Gibreel character...I saw a nauseating documentary on PBS, in the aftermath of 9/11 in which some lunatic Yankee padre was describing the shared religious doctrine, in particular his own wide-eyed fascination with the Islamic ritual of halal slaughter. Such fascination with slaughter explains the christist expectation of Hindus to succumb quietly like lambs without offering any resistance to their proselytisation! Like the scene in "Saving Private Ryan" where a Nazi soldier corners an American soldier and the latter gets his throat slit without making any noise, having been presented with the inevitability of his death!
