"790 Muslims, 254 Hindus killed" And it is extremely unfortunate that these factual numbers always have to be mentioned to prove that (1) There was no organised pogrom against Muslims, rather a spontaneous outbreak of rioting on a large scale (2) So many Hindus also died, so these were "secular" riots. Ideally there would be no killing of anybody, but we all know that is utopia given Mohammedan radicalism, intransigence and bloodlust. Therefore, when rioting is inevitable and demonisation of Hindu nationalists as Nazis is a foregone conclusion, I would at least hope for Hindu losses to be minimised.
