Malaysia Hindu activists arrested

"Three Hindu activists in Malaysia have been charged with sedition over plans to stage a rally in the capital to air the grievances of ethnic Indians.
They are seeking reparations from the UK for bringing Indians to Malaysia as indentured labourers a century ago.
The activists also demand measures to improve the living standards of Hindus.
But the government has banned the event, saying it could inflame racial tensions...."

Demolishing Hindu temples, forcibly converting Hindus to Islam, forcing Islamic funerals on dead Hindus and generally making life hell for the Hindu minority in Malaysia contributes to peaceful coexistence and racial understanding? Protesting against religious discrimination inflames racial tensions? The UN reacted with alacrity in nearby East Timor - will it take note of Malaysia's degeneration into a Jihadi hellhole?

OT-

Like Left, UPA prefers she go away but Taslima, in Delhi, says: I won’t

a harrowing 24 hours during which both the Centre and the West Bengal governments washed their hands of her.

Home Ministry officials dropped in to tell her to “reconsider her plans given the volatile situation in the country” but she is said to have replied: “I will not leave India.”

The BJP government in Rajasthan has called her a “state guest” and put her up in the Rajasthan Bhavan.
Bhutoria, known to have close links with CPM leaders in West Bengal, claimed that it was Taslima’s idea to “move to either Rajasthan or Gujarat, a BJP-ruled state.”
Azad said he called up some of his “contacts” in the Ministry of External Affairs. “No one was forthcoming, no one wanted to take a risk. Virtually everyone called her a security threat,” Azad said.

• According to the Rajasthan government, “fundamentalist elements” had started making preparations for staging protests against her presence in Jaipur. Arrangements were made by the state government to send her by Flight No 6E, 207 of Indigo Airlines from Jaipur to Kolkata, which leaves Jaipur at 7.50 am.

“The West Bengal police simply refused to countenance this idea.
At this stage, government of Rajasthan was left with no alternative except to have Nasreen as a guest of the government of Rajasthan, till such time Ministry of Home Affairs takes a final view regarding her stay and security,” said a press release issued by the state government.

BwaHa Ha Ha Kaangress cannot find any candidate to stand against Modi

Congress unable to find its version of Raj Narain
There seem to be no takers from the Congress or among ‘eminent people’ approached by the party for fighting the election against Mr Modi.
In its bid to find a suitable candidate to take on Mr Modi, the party after much search short-listed Tushar Gandhi and Mallika Sarabhai.
However, both Mr Gandhi and Ms Sarabhai are said to have refused the Congress’ offer of taking on Mr Modi in an election.
The party then hit upon the idea of approaching some television actors for the job.
Party leaders are now talking about the prospect of approaching an Ayodhya-based ‘Congress Baba’ to contest against Mr Modi.
