Apart from the usual anti-Taslima bleating - which is expected from a coalition desperate to make good with the Muslim vote block, the notable message in this is the call for respecting all religions equally.
This is a new gambit of the secular brigade. Essentially they are saying that all faith-based systems must be closed for debate (the correct word for 'hurting remarks'). Hindus should not fall for this - not only because we have been at the receiving end of these people's abuse for a long time, but also because we have nothing to gain by this 'protect all faiths from debate' position.
We should invite criticism (even abuse) of our religion from these people (it is what they have done all along) in return for carte-blanche to discuss Islam in all it's aspects.
