Prithvi missile defense system to be tested soon

Success in developing a credible missile defense system is critical to India's national security given the WMD delivery capabilities, not only of our hostile neighbours, but also others with hostile intent in the extended neighbourhood who may be potential threats in the future. Until then, the foolhardy posture of "No first use" should be abandoned. Ditto with the dhimmitude necessarily entailed by the concept of a "Minimum Credible Deterrent". (Who invented that obnoxious term anyway?) Could we first assemble a credible deterrent, please? The task of turning that into an "Optimal credible deterrent" can be deferred until we can afford it.
