India named among world's 10 most 'gender-biased' economies

"In the overall ranking, the country has slipped from 98th rank in 2006 when the index included a total of 115 countries..................The countries ranked below India include Bahrain, Cameroon, Burkina Fa's, Iran, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Benin, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Pakistan, Chad and Yemen with the lowest gender equality of 45.1 per cent." .... deleted

What are they smoking? Note how the countries ranked below India exclude hellholes such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Somalia, to name a few. Is it the World Economic Forum's contention that women in those countries are more liberated and empowered than their Indian sisters? Or have some Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib clones infiltrated WEF to propagate their negationist worldview?
