I love it! India, Japan & the US are conducting a major Naval exercise off Japan's coast next month. Way to go. More power to Indo-Japan alliance to check China. As Rajeev put it in another post, I am adding 2 more countries to the alliance to contain China.
Long live the indo-japanese-vietnamese-russian-american-tajikistan-kazakhstan axis to contain china.
We already have our first and only foreign military base in Tajikistan which shares a border with China. Now the Kazakhs are unhappy with the Chinese too, and want a closer relationship with India.

absolutely a good thing, kapidhawaja! the japanese are finally waking up to the fact that india is their best strategic partner. they got their knickers in a twist unnecessarily after pokhran II, no doubt chivvied on by the pakistani-lovers in the us state department. now they realize that america's commitment to defending japan in nebulous, and they better do something about arming themselves against china.
