US Headed for Great Depression?

Again, the accelerating shakiness of the sub-prime lending market and its potential impact on the massively exposed mortgage market has enough people worried that there is talk of a possible Great Depression. Remember that consumer spending makes up 2/3 of the US economy, and with mortgage foreclosures rising, the potential impact on the wider consumer market could be devastating.
