i have noticed this about a lot of post-christist people, especially brits -- they assume that since christism sucks big-time, and chucking it has made europeans a lot better off, therefore by definition all faith is bad. a lot of these left-liberal types echo the marxist "faith is bad" formula. which is highly ironic, because marxism is definitely a semitic ideology, as we have discussed ad nauseam here, and it is a cold-blooded cult like other semitic cults. the adage that a religion (that should really be 'semitic thing that has the outward appearance of a religion') is a cult with an army behind it is quite true.
