some of those killed in nandigram

mar 17th, 2007

a lot like jallianwallah bagh, indeed. there they had a better kill ratio, though: 1650 bullets and 1579 casualties.

and yes, there are some mohammedan dead. no wonder amnesty international jumped on it.

and i guess they will now blame the bjp, or as someone mentioned, narendra modi, the usual suspect in everything.

where's harsh mander with his purple prose and imaginative fiction? where's teesta? where's ansari, the 'hero' of gujarat, the fellow posed with folded hands, who was (when last heard of) living in bengal somewhere? why not roll him out again to pose for the camera with folded hands when the marxist cadres came calling?

Remember all those tears for Faizal?

In Nandigram, when the police were trying to control lawlessness, 11 people were killed. In Bangalore, the police targetted a 11 year old to control lawlessness. This is the CBCNN(Chennai-Based Chinese National Newspaper) contrast in reporting.
