nikkei: TSMC confirms plan for chip plant in japan. when do we get a TSMC plant in india?

even if we can get an old generation, say 45 nanometer, plant, that will kick-start this crucial area of concern.

Here is the answer:
"Their govt made sure Chinese consumption is pointed towards the production of SMIC. Indian govt has never been willing to give such an assurance".
