Dalai Lama: Mao was like a father to me

Sorry to say this, but is the Dalai Lama going senile? Otherwise, why would he make such a claim of friendship/kinship with one of the biggest genocidal maniacs in history? At the same "Satyagraha" conference at JNU (where else), he also made the absurd claim that he had met Gandhi in his dreams. The first signs of senility were evident a few years ago when he wanted India to grant genuine autonomy to Kashmir. How is such toadyism with respect to China going to serve the cause of the Tibetans oppressed by the Chinese Maoists?

strange that mao hasn't paid him a astral visit so far!! As usual u are right. Methinks DL is spending too much time in the company of Hollywood stars.
Too digress a bit I thnk that Budhism is one of the worst things that happned to India. The Buddhist clergy (like the sikhs) seem to prefer annihilation at the hands of the christians or muslims or commies rather than ackowledge Hinduism as the mother religion & put up a united front. The sri lankan buddhist clerics and there unrelenting hatred for Tamil Hindus is the pefect example.

I think that in the company of those Hollyweirdos he was referring to the scene from Star Wars where Darth Vader says "Luke, I am your father"
