Attached is a news release concerning a petition sent to the American
Mathematical Society. Signatories to the petition include M. G. K. Menon, P.
M. Bhargava, Ashis Nandy, Vandana Shiva, Sumit Sarkar, A. N. Mitra, Harish
Trivedi, and other distinguished academicians.
The petition asks the AMS to not hush up the facts regarding the claim by
Sir Michael Atiyah, President Royal Society, Edinburgh, and former
President, Royal Society London, to credit for a theory that I had proposed
earlier in my 1994 book Time: Towards a Consistent Theory. My theory had
brought out a subtle mathematical aspect of relativity overlooked by
Einstein.
In the meanwhile, three experts of the Society for Scientific Values have
found valid my charges against Atiyah.
A news release, a full list of signatories, and supporting documents for
every sentence and clause in the news release are attached. Please do not
hesitate to contact me if you need any further information or clarification.
