i have been seeing for some time the latest 'truth by repeated assertion' by christists: that prajapati is jesus. i once went to a record store and found a cd, 'prajapati yagam, vol. 3'. this was for christist devotional music by some george somebody!
christists have been baldly asserting that prajapati = jesus (or that prajapati foretells jesus). as usual, this has no basis whatsoever, other than some trumped-up misreading of some texts. and since hindus don't know sanskrit, whatever the christist padres say we believe. it is a lot like the thomas fraud. the fellow never even came to india, but by repeated assertion all indian children now believe that he did.
christists are dying to use hindu texts to give jesus credibility, because they know hindu texts have validity, and that their texts are pure hoaxes. but the best character that approximates jesus (small-time magician converting water to wine) in hindu texts would probably be a minor, forgettable villain, perhaps maricha, the rakshasa who could change his shape.
yes, that's the ticket. stop press! ramayana foretells the arrival of jesus! jesus = maricha, small-time villain. maricha changed shape to be a deer, and jesus changed water to wine. see, they are the same.
jesus didn't exist. there were several minor, forgettable preachers shouting "ye children of serpents". paul, the clever con-artist, made up the "greatest lie ever told" to mix up these preachers' stories into one composite and called it jesus.
here is a challenge. i will reverse myself, and pay $100,000, if any christist produces any verifiable proof that jesus actually existed. i would like a video of jesus raising the dead and curing the sick and parting the dead sea. on the other hand, if unambiguous, scientifically valid evidence is not forthcoming by 1/1/2008, the christist will have to pay me $1,000,000 and convert to hinduism publicly. the payment is 10x because they have been lying for 2000 years.
i know for a fact that there will be no takers for this. i once publicly made a bet of $1,000,000 that the world would not end in 2000 CE, as christists were claiming. i said i'd pay them $1,000,000 if i was wrong. obviously, they didn't take me up on it, or else i would have been $1 million richer for nothing.

There should be exclusions for christist videos of Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam movies on the mythical yesu doing these mythical deeds.
There are way too many of these yesu movies peddling christist mumbo jumbo to gullible people. I remember these being broadcast repeatedly on Stalinist Doordarshan as a child, when DD had a monopoly over TV in India.
These damn movies are also the reason for the flopping of Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ" in Indian territory BTW.
The Mohammedans also resort to some obscure reference which they claim to be from Bhavishya Purana that Mohammad is the 10th avatar. A Mohammedan I knew over the net once sent me a mail saying thats the reason all Hindus should embrace Islam now that proof from the Hindu sacred texts is available that Mohammed is indeed the Kalki etc etc.
Instead of getting into an argument about the Bjavishya Purana being a dubious source and could have been easily tampered with by Mughals and the British etc etc, I told him I agree with him. Further, I added that it means Muslims also believe in the avatar theory, and the third avatar should be holy in their eyes etc etc. I also provided a URL which went into sufficient detail about each avatar.
Haven't heard from him since.
this reminds me of something related: the flag of the vijayanagar empire had the varaha, ie. boar as well as a crescent moon.
i am sure it had occurred to the vijayanagar generals that this was, well, like waving a red flag in front of a bull :-)
yes, karyakarta, i am not talking about kunchacko or some other christist shooting movies about the alleged life of christ. i want actual certified videos of the alleged original events. (i am just utilizing the standard demand of the communists and other anti-hindus about the sacking of ayodhya's temple by babur. they want video. if you give them actual video of the event after having got there via a time machine, they will insist that it should be betamax, not VHS.)
I know of a Website that does a good job of exposing the Jesus Myth. Even western theologians are starting to turn against Jesus as being an actual historical figure.
