It is perplexing how deep the stranglehold of the marxists on all forms of art is in India -- including deeply Hindu arts like Kathak, Bharathnatyam etc. Perpelxing but not surprising -- since art is a supplicating handmaiden of the state in India
Back to Modi, one of the artists calls Modi a "Hitler." Of course, the real murderes like lenin, stalin, nehru are all heroes.
Can readers of this blog give us a flavour of the real "ground level" sentiment in Gujarat about the upcoming elections?
One cannot depend on the media for being objective on this.
Is it really true that Modi has his back to the wall?

Modi is a hero in Gujarat and he will win the coming elections. I am originally from Surat (now in US) and my parents, who have just come to US, have told me that people really respect him. His policies have made Gujaraties rich and people know that. Yes, some groups - like some patels supporting Keshubhai, want to remove Modi for their selfish motives, but in general, Gujaraties know that Modi is the best for them. And we don't have to worry about the English media. Gujaraties have not forgotten the period of 2002 riots and what was being printed in the media. Modi will win this election and will hopefully gain enough power to move to Delhi in future.
i do hope one day Modi becomes the prime minister of India. this is probably the only politician that other countries would wet their pants if he becomes the PM since he in capable of unifying India (all hindus) and that would mean no more business for the MMM (mulla marxit missionary) brigade. but alas can this happen...wish it would happen and he moves to delhi sooner or later. the nation needs him.

Not sure of the actual ground situation in Gujarat, as the media is always painting a dark picture as in the case of RamaSetu.
But one thing is for sure, the old hag who refused the award is a pakka commie(or a 'converted by injection' (TM)), as can be seen by her '50 paise bindi' (TM).
But it is so sad to see that a rabid anti Hindu mouthing foul language against Hindu religion and India being silent and the media adding masala to it and branding the genuine reaction as election issue.
Had it been a muslim country they would have been eliminated...
Its a pity....
And BJP is also acting rudderless... (This must be media hype) but there are reports of confusion on BJP leadership, etc etc...
Seriously, I feel it is time for Modi to leave Gujarat and come on national scene, we don't want anti incumbency (which happens when a leader rules for a long time - unlike commie dictators in west bengal and else where) to be a factor for his losing Gujarat.
God save my country and my people...
